DO YOU LIKE HEALTHY FOOD?




  • What is your favourite food?
  • What do you usually have for breakfast /lunch /dinner?
  •  Should we eat a vary diet?
  • Do you like healthy or unhealthy food?
  • Where does the food came from?
  • Why is important to eat food?
  • How many glasses of water should you drink in a day?

Before start, let's begin reviewing some food with these activities:







Now, you are ready to learn all about food!

We need to eat the correct amount of food so that we get enough energy to complete our daily activities.

But why we need food?

Our body needs food to:




Where does the food came from?

Some of our food comes from plants and other from animals:

       Food that comes from plants are: Fruit and vegetables.



        Food that comes from animals are: Meat, eggs, milk and cheese.

   Should we eat a vary diet?

 We need to eat many different types of food to be healthy. We can divide food into different food groups:




 Every day, we should eat a lot of:
  •     Bread, cereals, pasta, rice and potatoes.
  •     Fruit and vegetables.


 Most days, we should eat some:
  •     Fish, meat, cheese and eggs.


 We don't have to eat lots of:
  •     Chocolate and sweets. They are bad for our health.

    We need to eat healthy, balanced meals. They contain food from different food groups. So, we should eat 5 meals every day:
  
                       1º Breakfast
        2º Mid-morining snack
        3º Lunch
